Come, join the 2016 Bright Leaf Agricultural Journalism Awards

Calling all my fellow journalists—writers, reporters and broadcasters!  The Bright Leaf Agriculture Journalism Awards is now open!  This 2016 is its 10th year of honoring the work of reporters, photographers and broadcasters like us who write and speak about agriculture issues.

Many of our fellow journalists have won in the past nine years of the Bright Leaf competition since it began in 2007.  They’ve already brought home the trophy and now it’s our turn.  To win a Bright Leaf Award is really a great honor that’s why I’m going to submit my entries.  You should too!  Stories that are published or aired between September 1, 2015 and August 31, 2016 are all qualified.  The deadline for submission is September 1, 2016, so we still have a lot of time.  But let us not wait for the deadline because we can start submitting our entries now!

And, there’s no entry fee required to join the competition!  So submit as many stories as you want.  Winners will be receiving cash prizes, premium items like iPads, and an all-expense paid trip to an Asian country.
